Global Outreach Campus Ministries

Bishop Wellington Boone founded Global Outreach Campus Ministries in 1999 to reach and disciple the next generation of leaders while they are still in the high school and college environment. National Director Dean Nelson has been active in college ministry with Bishop Boone for over 13 years and is committed to reversing the alarming trends of immorality, apathy and hopelessness in today's young adults. This para-church organization is committed to serving the pastors, students and parents of FOIC, as well as others with a heart for campus ministry.

The vision of GO! is to be a national, multi-cultural, Christ-centered student movement that challenges the generation to experience the reality of God and live at the standard of His Word. GO! is currently planting student chapters through local churches across the nation. In addition to campus-specific meetings and programs, GO! holds a national conference in Atlanta each spring, and a leadership training school for its student leaders during the summer. Junior High and High School students are also invited on a week-long beach trip, Quest, in July at Myrtle Beach. GO! also holds regional conferences each fall. GO! shows students the reality of Christ, grows them up in Christ-likeness and biblical world-view, and commissions them to GO! impact their generation.

By reaching leaders while they are still in school, GO! is able to prepare them for effective service on their campuses and in their local churches as well as in their future families, careers and communities. By being exhorted to Christ-like character, GO! students are able to rise to the task of leading a dying generation, as well as becoming godly husbands, wives and parents in the future. By being trained in a biblical understanding of world issues, they are equipped to bring effective and lasting solutions to the seemingly impossible problems facing society today.
